Plustek OpticFilm 7200 7200DPI Film Scanner
The Plustek OpticFilm 7200 7200DPI Film Scanner is an outstanding solution for photographers who have a collection of 35mm film and wish to scan it for archiving or to digitally manipulate the images on a computer. The OpticFilm 7200 has the ability to scan at a high optical resolution of 7200 dpi and a 48-bit color depth for outstanding accuracy, preserving details such as the highlights and shadows of an image. However for scanning negatives, I would recommend the Nikon Coolscan series (see our review of Nikon Coolscan Film Converters) for their superior ICE4 technology which gets rid of scratches and dust.

Works Great, Good value for money
This scanner is efficiently compact, the software installed smoothly (Windows XP) and works well. SilverFast SE works well; I find it fairly intuitive.

High quality images but bad color reproduction
I have had this scanner for about two years. I bought it when I started doing film photography as part of a class I was taking at a local college.

    Very Happy
I purchased the VuPoint FS-C1-VP film and slide converter through Amazon about a month ago and had to return it because it simply was a piece of junk.
